Q. Why isn't there a book listed for my course?

A. This can happen for one of two reasons: either there is no book needed for your class, or because we are still waiting to hear from the professor or department responsible about what book(s) will be needed.

Q. Why is my online order showing the wrong price for my textbooks?

A. When ordering your textbooks, we calculate the price in your shopping cart as the most expensive option possible. This does not necessarily mean that is the price that will be charged; it will only charge that amount if we are only able to fill your order with new books and not with used books.

Q. What are my shipping options?

A. We have in-store pick-up that starts at the beginning of the semester, or 2 business days after you order them, whichever is later, or you may also have them shipped to you!

Q. Why should I choose in-store pick-up?

A. It’s the best shipping option, not only because it’s free, but we will have your books bagged and ready for your arrival on campus.

Q. Why would I buy from the VandalStore? Isn't Amazon cheaper?

A. With our Price Comparison option, we make sure you get the best price for your book. This option will show you what the going rate is from Amazon, Chegg, Half.com, etc. Also, when you purchase from the VandalStore, we guarantee you get the right book for the right class!

Q. What's your return policy?

A. Textbook returns will be accepted through the first 10 days of Fall and Spring terms. Summer term returns are only accepted during the first 3 days of class. You must return the book in the same condition it left the store. If it was shrink wrapped, it must be shrink wrapped, and any access codes must be unredeemed. You must have your receipt with you.

Q. What are the reasons why I would not be able to turn in my rental?

A. Water damage is the number 1 reason why we cannot accept a rental back. We also cannot accept a book with torn covers, missing pages, bite marks, etc.

Q. What do I do if I rented a book I need next term, or if I want to keep it?

A. You can convert your rental into a purchase at any point in the semester. This is really easy to do! You will just pay the difference between the original purchasing price and what you paid to rent the book. There are no fees attached. However, if you do want/need to keep it, PLEASE let us know! If you don’t do the conversion, you will be hit with late return fees. We absolutely do not want this to happen. If you are not able to come in to do the conversion, give us a call – we can take the payment over the phone.

Q. When can I sell my book to you?

A. We do “buy back” all throughout the year. You can calculate the buyback worth of your book with our buyback calculator.

Q. Why can’t I sell this book back to you?

A. We buy back the books that we know will be used the next semester. However, we also partner with a National Wholesaler to ensure that you can sell as many of your books as possible.

Q. How do I access my e-books?

Note: eReader platforms such as VitalSource and CourseSmart require you to create an account before the activation/download process may be completed.

To access your eBook(s):
1. Navigate to your account.
2. Enter your email address and password to login.
3. Click on Activate and Access eBooks.
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to activate and access the eBooks you have purchased.

Once a title has been downloaded through the site, it is no longer refundable.
